Wonderfully Made Has Arrived!

We’re s excited to launch our new clothing line – Wonderfully Made!  The idea was just a shell a few years ago as I was training clients at a gym.  As they complained about everything that was wrong with them, I thought “I wish you knew how amazing you are and that you were created by God, uniquely on purpose for a purpose and your life DOES matter.

Subsequently, as I went from the gym to meetings or errands, I would slip off my tennis shoes and put on my high-heeled boots, and slip a top & blazer over my gym-specific top. I thought, “ Wouldn’t it be awesome to have cute tops that could be transitional wear from gym to street AND that also reminded people of the message that they are wonderfully made!

Since then, a lot has happened, including one of our daughters, Lexi, having a heart transplant.  I designed the heart logo long before we knew she wouldn’t survive unless she received a new heart.

The original dream has expanded.  Everyone has their own story to tell and we want to be a part of encouraging others through those stories, that they can make it through their own journeys-that they are SFWM – Seriously, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!

Our family has its own unique story to tell through Lexi’s journey (featured also on this web site), and we would like to give back.  A portion of every sale will go to Pediatric Cardiac Research, beginning with Loma Linda University Hospital where Lexi was a patient for 70 days.  Our big dream is to eventually also donate to other non-profit organizations that support different areas of pediatric health and research.

In your own journey, I pray that you remember that you are uniquely created on purpose, for a purpose and that you remind those around you that they too are SFWM – Seriously, Fearfully, Wonderfully Made!

    Hi:
I just saw Lexi’s story on PBS in Chicago, today, Monday, January 28, 2019.

What a great testimony of faith. But, what moved me is the 24 hour Prayer Chain.

How do I get a 24 hour prayer chain started. Unfortunately, I belong to s super small church and they are not willing to start one.

I need complete and total reconstructive hip surgery from a bad fall I suffered back in September 2016. I am holding off on the surgery because I live alone and have no one to help in case the surgery goes bad.

But most importantly, I have no one praying for me. Can you provide the names of the churches and organizations that created the prayer chains for your daughter Lexi or Alexis Anderson? I would love for them to pray for me, when I have my surgery. I may have it in late spring 2019. Thank you in advance for responding.

    Sincerely,

    Janet Mims

Janet, thank you for sharing your story. We will certainly add you to our prayer lists and prayer chain. I do not know all of the churches that committed to pray for Lexi. It just sort of happened “organically.” However, there is one prayer group that I belong to on Facebook that engages regularly in intercessory prayer. You can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/197283560615056/ . I recommend you join this group and add your request to the list!

Hi Janet! As Todd mentioned, prayer started with friends and family as we reached out and grew organically from there as they all then reached out to their friends and churches. It’s a beautiful thing that the body of believers is all over the world! I will be praying for your upcoming surgery, that you’ll get the help and support you need as well as for quick healing. God bless you! – Irene Anderson
